Professor Tenia Kyriazi is a Professor (Practice) in Legal Education, Deputy Director Teaching and Learning, Law & Social Sciences and Head of Law at Middlesex University Dubai.

Tenia holds a PhD in International Human Rights Law from the University of Athens (Greece), an LLM in International Law with International Relations from the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK), a BA Law from the University of Athens (Greece) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Middlesex University (UK). She is a Principal Fellow of Advance HE (UK) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). She qualified as a lawyer in Athens (Greece) in 2004.

Tenia has worked at Middlesex University Dubai for over a decade and have made a significant contribution to its growth, developing and leading the implementation of its strategic priorities, fostering excellence in teaching and learning and enhancing student experience, industry partnerships and community outreach. Tenia led the establishment of the Institute of Sustainable Development to foster the advancement of sustainability into the university and the wider community. Through outreach, research and training, ISD is a thought leader in sustainability in the region, advocating the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ISD aims to strengthen stakeholder collaboration by integrating sustainability into the curriculum, aligning academic knowledge and professional practice and promoting partnerships with businesses, civil society and government to reach a sustainable future. Through the ISD, the University became a member to the UN Global Compact and a signatory to the Women Empowerment Principles. From October 2022 to August 2023 Tenia served as an Interim PVC for Education and Student Experience at Middlesex University (UK), with the responsibility to lead the work to improve NSS metrics, to chair the University’s Learning and Teaching Committee, and to lead the development of its new Learning Framework.
