Dr Frankman retired in June 2010 from McGill University (Montreal) where he taught development economics and was the founding Director of the International Development Studies program from its creation in 1992 until 2008. His early writings are on economic policy in the Andean countries. His current concern with world level institutional change consistent with a sustainable and just global order is explored in his book World Democratic Federalism.
