- What are the prospects for climate justice through a new global climate accord?
- How can gender & human rights be mainstreamed in climate change responses?
- What trade, investment and finance rules can incentivize a de-carbonized economy?
- How to enable transparent, equitable and sustainable forest landscapes governance?
- How to access compensation for climate loss and damage, what future for climate litigation?
Over 156 countries have submitted Climate Action Plans as Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) under the UNFCCC. Covering nearly 90% of global greenhouse gas emissions, commitments contemplate important legal, policy and institutional reforms. The law and governance community, worldwide, can make a lasting difference to a most crucial global challenge of our century.
Join us to inaugurate Climate Law and Governance Day, where distinguished experts, negotiators, law-makers, judges, academics and practitioners share knowledge, dialogue and networks on the law, policy and governance of a carbon-constrained future, creating a community of practice for implementation of the Paris outcomes.
