What are the most pressing legal obstacles and opportunities to advancing sustainable trade law and sustainable development through IP law? What can be learned from recent FTA experiences for sustainable trade and trade and climate change, and are Environmental Goods and Services part of any modern trade deal? Can fisheries and fossil fuel subsidies be reformed, and what legal reforms can support global supply chains and emissions trading for a carbon neutral world, including border carbon? Could the WTO be further reformed to contribute to the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? What can be learned from national experiences for rapid decarbonization, to incentivize carbon-negative technologies and what are the IP law implications? Is IP law the problem or the solution to long-term COVID recovery?
