Advancing Ambition and Pandemic Recovery through Climate Law and Governance Innovation

In an interactive dialogue of judges, general counsel, parliamentarians, leading practitioners, renowned law professors and heads of legal institutes, laureates of the climate law and governance global leadership awards and other distinguished experts highlighted recent trends and innovations in climate regulatory reforms, litigation cases, recovery finance measures, mitigation contracts and adaptation/resilience claims, considering how law and governance can accelerate ambition and implementation of the Paris Agreement, and support greener pandemic recovery investments. The roundtable also explored how to urgently scale up climate law and governance capacity to achieve transparent, accountable, and effective Paris Agreement compliance worldwide, and the global Sustainable Development Goals.
