Ilaria Colombo is Programme Coordinator for the Natural Resources Programme at the Center for International Sustainable Development Law and PhD Candidate in International and EU Law at Bocconi University, Italy. Her area of research is International Trade Law and EU Trade Policy, with a focus on their intersections with social and environmental issues. Her research project explores the approach developed by the European Union regarding the nexus between trade and labor in its Free Trade Agreements, to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing labour standards and its potential as a model for multilateral adoption.
She also serves as a Teaching Assistant in International Trade Law and sustainability at the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Switzerland, and the Catholic University, Italy.
