Ms. Ximena Insunza Corvalan
Ms. Ximena Insunza Corvalan, LL.M. Environment option, McGill University, works as a senior research fellow at the Environmental Law Center, Faculty of Law, University of Chile. Ms. Insunza graduated from the University of Chile, Faculty of Law. Subsequently, she complemented her studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business (University of Chile), by pursuing a Diploma in economics and finance for lawyers and two certificates, one in regulation and competition and the other in urban, territorial and environmental policies. She has worked for three years as a legal advisor for the Chilean Minister of the Environment and she was part of the team that was responsible for drafting, processing and passing the Bill which redesigned Chile’s environmental institutions. In addition, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center of Regulation and Competition of the Faculty of Law at the University of Chile. She is very interested in natural resources and sustainable development law in developing countries.
